Kelly Pfeiffer

A dedicated educator, author, blogger and presenter, Kelly is the point person for PBL Global in Australia and an innovator in distance education PBL. She co-created the widely-adopted Dark Sky PBL unit, which was nominated for the Dark Sky Defender award through the International Dark Sky Association (IDA). In 2019, she was awarded the Australian Association of Distance Education Schools (AADES) for Teaching Excellence and her Dubbo School of Distance Learning Futures Team received the New South Wales Department of Education Technology 4 Learning (T4L) award for Leader in Developing Digital Collaborative Communities. Peng Hong Ling

Peng Hong ling founded the Project Learning (PBL) Research Institute in Beijing, China, in 2014 and leads the exploration of learning and teaching through project based learning throughout China. The PBL Research Institute offers PBL teacher development in in primary and secondary schools and universities to provide guidance and training services for Chinese teachers in PBL teaching. In cooperation with PBL Global, the Institute also has launched a platform for online and offline public service courses and exchanges between schools and teachers, as well as distributing high-quality PBL books and actively promoting the localization of PBL books and materials for Chinese teachers. The Maker Team

The iLEAD Maker Team supports PBL development in nine iLEAD schools with over 1600 students throughout California, Ohio, Colorado, and Hawaii. The team also offers deep expertise to PBL Global in PBL, social emotional learning, play based learning and supports PBL Global workshops globally in English and Spanish. Dawn has over 29 years of experience in education and has substantial experience and expertise in K-8 curriculum, instruction, assessment, school leadership and governance. She has been a teacher and school administrator in both primary and secondary schools. Dawn has held several positions in the Association of California School Administrators, including serving as the Region XV president. Dayna Laur

Dayna Laur’s arc of professional learning began in 1998. Dayna’s doctoral level research in instructional systems design and technology has focused on connecting learners to technical experts as they leverage their value-added feedback in work-based learning environments. Specifically, she is interested in the ways in which these connections can occur virtually to overcome the logistical challenges many rural schools experience. Her experience includes Special Ed., Advanced Placement, Department Chair, Career Academy Coordinator, and designing online coursework for adult learners. Her diverse facilitation and coaching expertise have allowed her to interact, globally, with pre-K to post-secondary professionals since 2008. Tim Kubik

Dr. Tim Kubik’s arc of professional learning spans 23 years of teaching in primary through post-graduate learning environments. After graduating from Yale and Johns Hopkins University he served as a Team Leader of three different interdisciplinary grade level teams, Department Chair, and Associate Head of Upper School.
